It is a New Year!!

It's the New Year and things are looking up for The Johnson Tribe. 2011 was a bleak year for us and didn't turn out to be good even with the good.

Oh I am sure your saying well you had things that were positive well yes but unfortunately the bad kinda out weighed the good. But I know that 2012 is going to be the year that Thomas and I can actually be proud of.
We will be finishing up a part of our lives once our son comes to be apart of our family. That chapter of baby making will be over. Focusing on raising and hoping they make the best out of what we try to give them. So when they are adults and parents they make wonderful choices. Having children of all ages I mean literally all ages adult to infant makes life challenging.

The oldest boy is living in Florida and going to college he is 21 years old. I pray he can make use out of his resource's and become something as he grows. Having him live so far away sucks. But at least he calls and lets us know how he is doing. Has not always been this way. But we worship a healing and forgiving God.
The second oldest child is 16 years old and he is mentally ill. Yes he doesn't believe there is anything wrong with him. But he chooses to make bad decisions over and over again. It is almost like he can not help himself. He has been in and out of Mental Hospitals in 2011 nine times. He truly believes he is grown and we should let him do as he feels. He also doesn't want to take responsibility for nothing always someone Else's fault. Yes some of this is normal. But most kids who think normal know when to back down and do right!
We have three daughters. Their ages are 8 years old, 6 years old and 3 years old. We are homeschooling them. They are doing well. We are having some issues of them picking up on their 16 year old brothers behaviors not so fun. But over all they are soaring and we couldn't be prouder of the positive things they do.

Our  8 year old is in doing 3rd/4th grade work. She went from not reading but little things last January to reading 5th grade level in April 2011. I could not be prouder but I can not spell to Daddy any more she is a spoiler of know what we are saying. The little smarty pants.
Our 6 year old is doing 1st/2nd grade work. She is struggling a little bit, not because she can not do work she don't want to do the work. She is going through the I don't want to do school work or anything that is going to make think. But when she sits down and actually does her work she is so proud. Sheis just one who needs major prompting but she is getting there.
Our 3 year old is a challenging child she is stubborn, quick as a fiddle and loves to do the opposite of what is asked. So we are working on her listening skills as well as not saying no, NOW or just being mean to her sisters. She is a character and funny as well. She is our comic relief.

Our son is due to be here May 2012. We are excited even tho we had no idea God planned on us having one more. Having a son again is refreshing. I am proud to be able to give my husband a biological son. Not that the 2 he has helped raise aren't his blood. He loves those two very much as if they were his biological boys. But after our baby gets here we are finally done with the baby making chapter of our lives. I have never felt this being so true ever. I look forward to the new chapter that comes with not baring children any more. I never thought I would say that before now. Guess my age is catching up to me.
In closing I am so proud to think and say 2012 is something positive to look forward to. New beginnings and life. New job new outlook on life new baby new way of thinking. Thank you God for giving us a future to look forward to!
                                  Thanks for letting me Ramble,
